Why did the 1997 Berserk end. I know i probably sounds stupid but it was good I remember watching it when I was younger and I rewatch it to see the end and it ended on cliffhanger so then I started to watch golden age Arc and it was just a reboot and a water down version of it.

While 1997 and movies are great 2016 and 2017 is pretty much disaster. I do suggest you watch movies and go on manga.
