Feb 27, 2022 · Currently fitting new 18mm by 210mm skirting boards in my room and want to know the best practice to avoid cracking along top. Managed to get my skirting board supplier to cut a much higher 7mm rebate on back, this will allow skirting to be fitted more flush against the wall where its unlevel and minimise gap along the top.
