The reason that the Shockwave is legal at is is the simple fact that it NEVER has a shoulder stock nor was it designed to be shot from the shoulder. All a shockwave or others (Remington TAC-13 is easy to shoot) does is save a tax stamp. Lacking a buttstock, it isn't as easy to shoot. A SBS is better for HD. In the case of the TAC-13, it is only a six shot. All very short range and hardly high capacity: 6 shot in the case of the TAC-13, with low velocity due to the 13 inch barrel.Crazy idea came to mind! What if I bought a 20 gauge moss shockwave. SBS tax stamp it. Have vang comp do the barrel treatment, except no porting because I don’t think that tightens the spread. And then just use regular #1 buck in it.
