I've got a 1956 mfg dated Remington Sportsman 58 20 gauge that is experiencing ejection problems. It's clean and in fine shape. Almost like brand new.Tron. The 58 was built off of the 870 and is simply a gas version of that gun and many parts interchange between the 2 or can be modified to work (870 barrel comes to mined). The gas system had a crude (but effective) manually adjustable valve which consisted of 3 holes in the magazine cap and had "L" and "H" settings for light and heavy loads.
